Half Empty is a short film that follows the life of Charlie, a mid-20s computer coder for a new startup. The balance of his business, friends, and partner strains as the pressure of his company erodes his sense of control. He finds his only solace in alcohol and retreats into its insidious comfort until realizing the gravity of his situation.

Peter Ryan (Executive Producer, Writer, & Assistant Director) – Peter is a recent graduate of the NYU College of Arts & Science where he studied economics, business, and web design. He wanted to combine his passion for entrepreneurship and filmmaking, so he jumped into independent producing. Past works have included short films and commercials. Follow him on twitter to keep up with his next project.

Brandon Salerno (Charlie, Executive Producer, & Writer) – Brandon is a recent graduate of the NYU Gallatin School of Individualized Study where he studied acting, entertainment business and educational theatre. Recent theatre credits include Zanni in A History of Servitude (NY Fringe 2016), Stanley in Brief Encounter, and Tyndarus in The Captives. Brandon can be seen as the title character in the web series Flying High With Charlie, which is available on Amazon Prime and YouTube. In addition, he can be spotted in commercials for #MPWR, Burger King and Dollar Shave Club. He would like to thank his family and friends for their support! Paul A. Richards (Michael) – Paul, a Texas native, previously attended Tisch School of The Arts where he played a variety of roles both classical and contemporary including Macbeth in Macbeth, Chas in The Trestle at Pope Lick Creek, Mickey in After the Fall, Salieri in Amadeus, and many others. Despite his career of playing 50+ year old men, Paul has since expanded his horizons to indeed play his own age range in films both student and independent. He has worked with Tisch film majors as well as directors from many different backgrounds and disciplines. Most recently he could be seen on stage at Theater for the New City in the Dream Up Festival production Mary V.

Gwendoline Hornig (Erin) – Gwendoline is an Oakland, CA native developing a concentration titled Theatre of War at the NYU Gallatin School of Individualized Study. As a New York based theatre artist, Gwendoline is dedicated to creating socially and politically investigative work as an actor, director, writer, and researcher. As an actor, Gwendoline has worked on several Theater at Gallatin productions including Diamond Alice as Victoria Brittenham (2015), Amphitryon as Amphitryon (2015), The Rape of Lucrece as Lucrece (2014), and Hamlet as part of the ensemble (2013). She appeared in the Uproar Theatre Corps production of Cabaret as Fräulein Schneider in 2016 and a regional theatre production of Top Girls (Understudy/All) with the Shotgun Players in Berkeley, CA in 2015. Half Empty is her film debut. Thank you to the cast and crew for the opportunity to work on this wonderful project!

Glen Feinstein (Tommy) -Glen Feinstein was born and raised in Chicago and its outlying suburbs. He then moved to New York to study acting at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. You can see his work on Louie as well throughout New York in theaters and improv venues. www.glenjfeinstein.com.
